Cookie policy
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website, whether that is a computer, tablet or phone. They help a site remember your settings and understand how it is being used.
There are two kinds. Session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them. They are set either by our own site or by third-party services embedded in it.
2. What we use cookies for
We use cookies and comparable technologies for four purposes:
- Strictly necessary: so the shop works at all. This covers the cart, checkout, signing in to your account and security features. These cannot be switched off, because the shop would not be usable without them.
- Functional: so we can remember your settings, such as language, country and currency.
- Statistics: so we can see which pages are used and where something goes wrong. The results help us improve the shop.
- Marketing: so advertising is relevant to you and we can measure whether a campaign worked.
Without your consent we set only the strictly necessary cookies. Everything else is activated only once you have agreed in the cookie window. The legal basis is Section 25(1) TDDG in conjunction with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; for strictly necessary cookies, Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDG.
3. Which cookies are actually set
You can see the cookies currently in use at any time in the cookie window. Open it via the cookie icon at the bottom left of every page, or via Change cookie settings in the footer.
They come from these sources:
- Shopify as the shop platform: strictly necessary cookies for the cart, checkout, fraud detection and load balancing.
- Our consent tool: stores your cookie decision so we do not have to ask again on every visit. This cookie is strictly necessary.
- Payment providers at checkout, where you choose a corresponding payment method.
- Statistics and marketing services only after you have given consent.
4. Changing or withdrawing your consent
Your decision is not final. You can change or fully withdraw it at any time:
- via the cookie icon at the bottom left, which follows you on every page,
- or via Change cookie settings in the footer.
Withdrawal takes effect for the future. Processing carried out on the basis of your consent up to that point remains lawful.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Your browser help explains how. Please note: if strictly necessary cookies are blocked, the cart and checkout will stop working.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. How to exercise these rights and whom to contact is set out in detail in our privacy policy.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe we are not processing your data lawfully.
