Parrot Candle Holder Delft Blue, Facing Right, Height approx. 40 cm
Parrot Candle Holder Delft Blue Facing RightHeight approx. 40 cmWidth × depth 15 × 13 cmmade of polystone
incl. VAT, plus shipping
A parrot in Delft Blue, holding a candle: this polystone candle holder is around 40 cm tall and combines a tropical motif with the blue of Dutch ceramics.
Each parrot is hand-painted, so no two are alike. The breast of the right-facing version may turn out slightly darker than that of its left-facing counterpart. This isn't a flaw but the charm of handwork. Polystone gives the figure weight and a secure footing.
It suits the dining table, the sideboard or the mantelpiece, where together with the left-facing parrot it forms a pair that frames a mirror or clock. A gift for bird lovers and anyone who loves Delft Blue.

In classic living rooms, figures often stood in pairs on the mantelpiece, mirror images to the left and right of a clock or mirror. Such companion pieces are called pendants. That's exactly why this parrot comes facing two ways: one on its own makes an impression, two make a frame.
