Ivy in white: this small artificial plant brings light-coloured leaves to the table, around 19 cm tall. It looks light and suits bright, calm interiors.
The base measures about 9 cm in diameter. The real plant trails and drapes itself over the rim of the pot; in a small ceramic or glass cachepot, the white comes into its own. Several side by side on the windowsill also make a harmonious picture.

Ivy is one of Europe's oldest cultivated plants: the Greeks dedicated it to Dionysus, the Romans wore ivy wreaths at festivals, and in many regions it is still regarded as a symbol of fidelity, which is why it appears in bridal bouquets. In nature it climbs trees and walls with clinging roots without taking nutrients from them. White-marked forms are garden varieties, not wild plants.
