Artificial Polka Dot Begonia Lat. B. maculata Length approx. 80 cmWidth approx. 40 cmNursery pot Ø 18 cm
incl. VAT, plus shipping
A Begonia maculata that stays exactly as it arrives, in any room: around 80 cm long (hanging), with leaves in red and green and silver dots on top. The plant looks as if someone had painted the pattern on with a brush.
It is a trailing plant. So it looks its best on a shelf, a console or a plinth, where the shoots can hang down. At around 40 cm wide, it needs little space at the top and still looks lush.
It suits the bedroom, a windowless bathroom, the office or the holiday home. Real polka dot begonias are considered demanding; this one asks for nothing. No pollen, no watering, no falling leaves. Dust it now and then, nothing else.
- No watering, no wilting

In German, the plant is called Forellenbegonie, trout begonia, because the light dots on its leaves recall the spots of a trout. In English, it is known as the polka dot begonia. Its wild form grows in the rainforests of Brazil, where it stands in the shade of larger plants.
