Five peonies in a soft light pink, each around 65 cm long. The bunch is light and friendly, an early-summer bouquet that isn't tied to any season.
The double blooms are softly shaped and stand out gently against the green of the stems. You can place all five at the same height or shorten individual stems so the blooms are staggered. For a small vase, two or three stems are enough; the rest can move to the next room.
Light pink suits the bedroom, the living room sideboard or the entrance area of a practice. And because no pollen is flying around, the bouquet can also stand where hay fever would otherwise be an issue.

The peony gets its German name, Pfingstrose (“Pentecost rose”), from its flowering time: in the garden it opens around Pentecost, and then only for a few weeks. It isn't related to roses, as a look at the leaves already reveals. If you miss the short season, these stems give you Pentecost on the table all year round.
