Artificial Phalaenopsis Orchid in Pot Height approx. 71 cmPot Ø 17 cmWith pot
incl. VAT, plus shipping
A Phalaenopsis in full bloom that stays that way: around 71 cm tall, delivered in a pot and ready straight away for windowsill, sideboard or reception desk.
The orchid stands on a slim base about 17 cm in diameter and rises into its curved flower stem. This gives it the typical, elegant line that defines a Phalaenopsis.
It belongs wherever real orchids tend to drop their flowers: in a bathroom without a window, a dark hallway, the practice or the home office. Also as a hostess gift or for the holiday flat where nobody waters. No repotting, no misting, just a dusting now and then.

The Phalaenopsis owes its name to a mistake: from a distance, the botanist Carl Ludwig Blume took the flowers for a swarm of moths, "phalaina" in Greek. In nature, the orchid does not grow in soil but with aerial roots on trees in the forests of Southeast Asia.
