Broad, glossy leaves in a compact tuft: the Philodendron Imperial Green doesn't grow tall, it grows full. At around 25 cm, it fits on the coffee table, the windowsill or a shelf.
The base measures about 9 cm in diameter. The real plant forms its leaves close to the stem and needs no climbing support, which makes the plant look round and tidy. A simple cachepot in white or concrete look is all the stage it needs.

Most philodendrons are climbers, but not the Imperial Green: it is one of the self-supporting varieties that form their leaves in a rosette directly on the short stem. Such forms were bred specifically for homes where there is no room for a moss pole or trellis.
