Artificial Philodendron Xanadu (Philodendron 'Xanadu'), Height approx. 20 cm
Artificial Philodendron Xanadu Lat. Philodendron 'Xanadu' Height approx. 20 cmNursery pot Ø 9 cm
incl. VAT, plus shipping
Small, bushy and full: the Philodendron Xanadu is the compact version of its large-leaved relatives. At around 20 cm tall, it stands on the desk, the bedside table or in the kitchen.
The base measures about 9 cm in diameter. The real plant forms densely set, deeply lobed leaves that grow more in width than in height. This keeps the plant low while still looking lush; a small cachepot is all it needs.
The Xanadu fits wherever a real plant would be in the way or get too little light: on the office desk, in the bathroom, in the hallway or in the holiday flat. For people without green fingers, for allergy sufferers and for rooms without windows. No pollen, no water.
- No watering, no wilting

For a long time the Xanadu was thought to be a nursery hybrid, until botanists described it as a species in its own right from Brazil; today it is called Thaumatophyllum xanadu. It got its catchy trade name in Australia, where the variety first went on sale before finding its way into European living rooms.
