Artificial Snake Plant Laurentii (Sansevieria), Height approx. 21 cm
Artificial Snake Plant Laurentii Lat. Sansevieria Height approx. 21 cmNursery pot Ø 9 cm
incl. VAT, plus shipping
Stiff, upright leaves that rise from the pot like swords: the snake plant is one of the clearest plant shapes there is. At around 21 cm tall, this small Sansevieria fits on a desk, windowsill or bathroom shelf.
The base measures about 9 cm in diameter. The real plant, the Laurentii variety, is recognisable by the yellow edge that frames its green leaves. The narrow, vertical shape needs little space and looks particularly graphic in a straight cachepot.
It suits the bedroom, the bathroom, the office or the stairwell, in other words rooms where even the robust real snake plant eventually gets too little light. For anyone who likes things tidy, and for households where pollen is an issue.

Sansevieria goes by many names: bowstring hemp, because bowstrings and ropes were once twisted from the fibres of its leaves, and mother-in-law's tongue in everyday speech because of its pointed, sharp-edged leaves. Botanists have since placed the genus with the dragon trees, and today it is called Dracaena trifasciata, but in the trade the old name has stuck.
