Artificial Sansevieria Lat. S. cylindrica Height approx. 70 cmWidth approx. 25 cmNursery pot Ø 12 cm
incl. VAT, plus shipping
Not leaves as you know them, but round, firm rods: the artificial Sansevieria Cylindrica looks like a bundle of green spears. Around 70 cm tall and 25 cm wide, a graphic piece for sideboard, windowsill or desk.
The cylindrical shoots stand tautly upright and taper to a point at the top. That's exactly what makes the plant so special: it looks more like an object than a houseplant and suits clean, modern interiors with concrete, wood and white.
The real Cylindrica comes from dry regions of Africa and gets by on little. This version gets by on nothing: no water, no light, a quick dusting now and then. It suits offices, waiting rooms, hotel corridors or the home office, anyone without green fingers and allergy sufferers: no pollen.

In shops, the real Cylindrica is often braided or arranged in a fan shape: young shoots can be bent and then keep growing in that shape. Its English name is spear sansevieria. The round shape is an adaptation to drought: less surface, less evaporation.
