Artificial Zamioculcas Lat. Z. zamiifolia Height approx. 70 cmWidth approx. 15 cmNursery pot Ø 12 cm
incl. VAT, plus shipping
Green and standing tall: the artificial Zamioculcas brings structure to a room. Its stems carry the typical oval leaves in a dense row, each stem a clean arc upwards.
What makes it special: a real Zamioculcas tends to grow unevenly and leans to one side in too much sun. This version always stands straight. It comes in two sizes, around 70 cm and around 110 cm tall: the small one for sideboard and desk, the large one as a floor plant beside a sofa, door or window.
The Zamioculcas, also known as the ZZ plant or aroid palm, is a classic in offices, hallways and waiting rooms. As an artificial plant, it also goes where daylight doesn't reach. For anyone without green fingers, for practices, home offices and holiday homes. For allergy sufferers: no pollen.

The Zamioculcas comes from East Africa and is still young as a houseplant: only in the 1990s did Dutch nurseries begin propagating it on a large scale. The living plant stores water in thick tubers underground and in its fleshy stems, and so survives months of drought. Despite the name aroid palm, it isn't related to palms; it belongs to the arum family.
