The parlour palm is one of the best-known indoor palms, and this one asks for nothing: no water, no light, no humidity. Fine fronds on slender stalks, wide-spreading, light and airy. It stands on the floor and spreads out across the space.
Two heights are available. The approx. 120 cm version is about 70 cm wide, the approx. 180 cm version a good 140 cm. The large one really needs space, but fills an entire corner on its own. Both are light and easy to move without help.
It suits the living room, the conservatory, the hallway or the office, anywhere a green, tropical atmosphere is wanted. For anyone who has no time for watering, for dark rooms, for waiting rooms and for households where pollen is a bother.
- No watering, no light, no wilting

Chamaedorea elegans comes from the rainforests of Mexico and Guatemala, where it grows in the shade of large trees and stays small, hence its German name Bergpalme ("mountain palm"). The genus name combines the Greek words for "on the ground" and "gift", because the fruits hang so low that you can pick them while standing.
