In Southeast Asia, Vanda orchids don't grow in the ground but on trees. Their thick, grey-green aerial roots hang freely and draw water from rain and humidity. That's why real Vandas are often kept without substrate in glass vases or baskets and soaked regularly. With the artificial Vanda, there's no bath needed.
